Метод трансформации внешнего долга развивающихся стран (в иностранной валюте) в акционерный капитал национальных фирм, деноминированный в местной валюте. Инвестором может выступать банкдержатель кредита или компания, выкупающая заемные обязательства у банка со скидкой. В таких случаях заем обычно продается центральному банку данной страны по номинальной стоимости в обмен на местную валюту, используемую в свою очередь для инвестиций в акционерный капитал.
